What Do Chiropractors Do?
Chiropractors use a range of techniques to help relieve symptoms of pain, discomfort, poor posture to name a few. These techniques may include manual therapy, adjustments, exercise programmes and advice.
What Should I Expect At My First Session?
The initial session is 45 minutes long, consisting of a discussion about your symptoms, an assessment and a first treatment.
You may be asked to take off your outer clothes in order to see the area requiring treatment and to allow proper assessment of the area.
How Do I Pay?
By cash or BACs payment - currently card payment is unavailable but this is due to change in the near future.
How Often Do I Need To Be Treated?
The aim is to help with your symptoms as quickly and appropriately as possible, however this will vary dependent on your complaint, length of time you've had a problem, severity and your aims/goals of treatment. This will be discussed with you at each session. For maintenance sessions, this can be discussed with your chiropractor to get the best results for you.
Is Chiropractic For Me?
There are different forms of treatment out there and every person is unique. Although seeing a chiropractor can be an effective way to manage your symptoms, it does not always suit everyone. Please speak to a member of the team if you have any questions or concerns, or even just want to know a bit more!

How Long Is Each Session?
The initial session is 45 minutes long. After that sessions will be 20 minutes.
Will It Be Painful?
Treatment should not be painful, however some of the soft tissue techniques can cause discomfort at the time but is an effective part of relieving your symptoms. At Richardson Chiropractic, gentle treatment is used aiming to avoid discomfort as much as possible.
What Are The After / Side Effects of Treatment?
Apart from the benefits of treatment, some people can feel some discomfort and stiffness the day after treatment however this does not usually last long. If you have any concerns please discuss with your chiropractor.
