Welcome to Richardson Chiropractic
We are an independent family run chiropractic clinic, set up by Thomas Richardson, who pride ourselves on holistic patient care.
We offer assessment for all types of pain and treatment for many problems, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, joint pain, poor posture, exercise and fitness, maintenance, education and free telephone advice.
Thomas qualified from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, with a Masters in Chiropractic (Distinction). He has since qualified as a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner; this specialism better enables him to diagnose and treat non-spinal joints (for example – ankles, knees, hips, elbows, shoulders and jaw) alongside the back and neck complaints he regularly sees. Whilst working between clinics, he completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Development, again attaining a Distinction. Thomas is progressing with a further MSc in Advanced Professional Practice (Clinical Sciences), as he views his commitment to education vital in keeping abreast of recent developments and improvements in practice.
Alongside the above, in January of 2017, Thomas attained full marks at the Activator seminar series in Florida to qualify as a Proficiency-Rated Activator Practitioner. This gentle approach to assessment and treatment, which can be combined with more traditional ‘hands-on’ techniques or used as a stand alone treatment.
Thomas has been heavily involved with chiropractic in the community and at sports events; treating international athletes right through to the ageing population. He has a special interest in the management of chronic pain; tailoring management plans on a specific and individual basis; using spinal and extremity adjustments, soft tissue techniques and kinesio-taping.
He is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of both the British Chiropractic Association and Royal College of Chiropractors (also being a Licentiate of the Specialist Pain Faculty).
